Description
Our cable hybrid self-retracting lanyards (SRLs) are dual ANSI Class A and Class B and provide 20 or 30 feet of lanyard length with galvanized wire rope, making these SRLs both strong and lightweight. SRLs provide fall arrest by connecting to either a rolling trolley or a single anchorage point.
Self-retracting lifelines (SRLs), also known as self-retracting lanyards, are connecting devices, which are a necessary component of a Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS). When used as a complete overhead personal fall arrest system, a SRL decelerates a fall within an allotted maximum distance, which varies depending on the class of SRL.
Rigid Lifelines® selection of self-retracting lifelines feature lightweight high-impact resistant polymer or durable aluminum casing with galvanized cable in lengths between 20 and 50 feet. All units are compatible with any Rigid Lifelines® overhead fall protection system and include a load-indicating swivel locking snap hook for attaching to the harness’s dorsal D-Ring, installation carabiner on top, and tagline.
How Do SRLs Work?
During a fall event, when used in conjunction with a complete personal fall arrest system, a self-retracting device uses an internal braking system to decelerate the fall to a complete stop within the allotted maximum distance. Our enclosed rigid track fall protection systems keep the maximum arresting force to 900 pounds, which helps lower the risk of sustaining an injury during the fall.
Learn More about Our Overhead Fall Protection Products
SRLs only serve their purpose when you have an appropriate complete fall protection system in place. Consider adding one of our permanent or portable fall arrest systems to your facility to increase safety and efficiency. Rigid Lifelines® manufactures standard and custom systems catering to your building, worksite, and applications:
Permanent Systems
Does your team perform machinery maintenance and inspections on a routine basis? Our permanent fall protection systems follow the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) guidelines for industry compliance. From ceiling-mounted monorail designs to Freestanding Swing Arm systems, the professionals at Rigid Lifelines® can help you find the right design to work on everything from outdoor rail cars to commercial planes.
Mobile Systems
When a permanent fall arrest system doesn’t offer the required flexibility for your facility or can’t be mounted to your existing building support structures, a mobile fall protection system may be the answer. Rigid Lifelines mobile fall arrest systems are ideal for facilities where the fall hazard is in a temporary job site or isn’t consistently in the same location. If you rent your building and need a fall arrest system that can be relocated more easily or need to move your system between different locations of your facility or even between different buildings, Rigid Lifelines offers mobile fall arrest systems that can be moved by hand, by forklift, or towed.
Anchor Track™ Systems
Build the ideal fall protection system with Anchor Track™ Systems from Rigid Lifelines®. Enclosed rigid track sections are available in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials for exceptional durability. Orders are compatible with the Anchor Trolley™, which virtually eliminates post-fall drift and greatly increases the ability for conscious and able-bodied users to self-rescue.
